Milford Mayor Ben Blake’s Employee of the Month program has named Marianne Croffy, an administrative assistant in the city’s Finance Department, as the January employee of the month.
Croffy started working for the city inher current position in July 2006, according to the city’s Human Resources Department. In addition to providing support to the Finance Director, Croffy is instrumental in maintaining the MUNIS budget system, chart of accounts and project accounting system. She processes invoices and works with the Board of Education regarding school construction project invoices and purchase orders. Croffy assists the Finance Director and city departments throughout the budget process. She provides administrative support to the Board of Finance, ensuring proper documentation is distributed, posted and filed. She also administers the 457 Savings Plan for the city, ensuring that employees receive prompt responses to questions and processing pertinent documents.
“Marianne is the point of contact for the Finance Office. She is readily available to provide assistance for any question, be it simple or complex. She can be counted on for clear and concise guidance given in a knowledgeable manner, with a lightheartedness that will put one at ease,” the city said in its announcement.
