High school seniors in Connecticut can automatically get admitted to several colleges and universities around the state.
The Connecticut Automatic Admission Program allows students to file one application that admits them to participating institutions. The program waives application fees, essays and recommendation letters.
Any Connecticut high school senior with a 3.0 weighted grade point average or a 2.75 unweighted GPA may participate.
Applicants will gain automatic admission into 10 colleges and universities: Central Connecticut State University; Eastern Connecticut State University; Southern Connecticut State University; Western Connecticut State University; Albertus Magnus College; Goodwin University; Mitchell College; University of Bridgeport; University of Hartford; and the University of New Haven.
Eligible applicants receive acceptance letters notifying them of their admission and encouraging them to enroll in one of the participating schools.
The application period for seniors planning to start college in the 2026-2027 academic year is open now until May 1. For more information, go to ct.edu/admission/autoadmit.
