Case Memorial Holding Native Seed Propagation Workshop

The Case Memorial Library in Orange will host a workshop with naturalist and master gardener Jim Sirch on Monday, Jan. 26 to discuss the germination requirements for different species of plants native to the area’s ecoregion and how to grow them from seed.

Participants will create a milk jug planter and sow it with a selection of native seeds to stratify over the winter and germinate in the spring. Seeds, planting mix and other necessary materials will be provided. Bring a one-gallon plastic milk jug if you have one.

The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Registration is required. For more information, visit casememorial.librarycalendar.com or call 203-891-2170.
