Zeoli read a statement from the Conservation Commission opposed to the tower.
Zeoli said he told Verizon representatives that the parcel was purchased for open space and there was a cell tower less than a mile away.
However, he told the BOS no state funds were used to purchase the parcel therefore they could allow the tower.
Selectman Mitchell Godlblatt said there was not enough information submitted by Verizon to make a determination on the request.
