The endorsement reads:
“Sean Ronan has dedicated his life to public service and helping others as a veteran, police officer and elected official in West Haven. Sean was born and raised in West Haven, and since his youth has had a commitment to service, which was instilled in him through his parents. His dad, Ed, is a long-time public servant of West Haven, running the concession stand at Ray Tellier Midget Football and sponsoring various youth teams through his business, Ed Ronan’s Drive-In. His mom, Nancy, works at the Soup Kitchen at the Lutheran Church.
Sean learned early-on the value of a dollar while working in his families business, and the challenges it takes to run a successful small business. The lessons of Sean’s youth led him to become a police officer and detective with the City of Bridgeport for over 20 years, and more recently as a City Councilor in West Haven.
As a City Councilor, Sean has secured state dollars to help keep local property taxes down, and provided funding for our local schools. Additionally, Sean has taken a particular interest in spurring local economic development, through the building of The Haven Mall and the revitalization of Allingtown, West Haven with the Atwood project.
As a veteran of the Gulf War, Sean is keenly aware of the issues effecting veterans. In Sean’s work on the Veterans’ Advisory Committee for the City of West Haven, he helps to reintegrate and advise veterans on services in the community.
I hope you will join me in supporting Sean Ronan for State Representative in West Haven, Milford and Orange on Tuesday, November 8th.
Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro”
