The Downtown Milford Business Association is hosting a “spring soirée,” a new, fashion-focused outdoor event in downtown Milford on Sunday, May 16. The soirée includes an outdoor fashion show featuring the latest styles from local boutiques along Harbor Walk, refreshments and charcuterie boxes from Nate’s Plates, dessert from Micalizzi’s Italian Ice, and mini-experiences in each participating business, such as tarot readings, mini-facial LED treatments and organic airbrush face tans.
“We are so excited to bring this fresh, fun event to downtown Milford,” said Makayla Silva, DMBA’s event director. “The spring soirée showcases the best our boutiques have to offer in a fun and glamorous atmosphere. Everyone is truly excited to get dressed up, do a little shopping, enjoy some special treats, and most importantly, socialize safely.”
Organizers hope to bring the event back year after year. “The timing is perfect,” said Tracy Bonosconi, DMBA president. “After the year we’ve had, it’s a wonderful way for the community to enjoy a little glamor and support small businesses at the same time. We hope to make the spring soirée a yearly signature event, like Pirate’s Day and the Wine Trail, and to see our downtown retail district continue to grow stronger.”
