Local Coldwell Banker realtor Wendy Barry hosted the 2nd Annual Purple Pantry Boxes Food Drive/Fundraiser on March 24 at New England Brewing Co. in Woodbridge. The event was free and open to the public and this year’s event doubled its fundraising over last year. The fundraiser took in over $3,000 through the sale of tickets for over 70 raffle items. Donations and attendees brought in over 600 shelf-stable food items. Purple Pantry Boxes is a nonprofit organization that provides easy access to food for people struggling with food insecurity throughout Milford, Bridgeport and West Haven.
