The Downtown Milford Business Association is hosting its annual Hall-O-Weekend Fall Festival Oct. 25 and 26 with an expanded roster of activities for family-friendly fun for all ages.
This year’s event takes place on the Milford Green on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
New for this year, the Friday night lineup will include Ghost Walks with the Spirits Of Milford at 6 p.m., popcorn and a screening of Hocus Pocus on the Green at 7 p.m., and the Hall-O-Stroll, a walk around downtown to view the spookily-painted windows of participating stores.
The event continues on Saturday with a not-so-scary story time with the Milford Public Library in the gazebo, music with radio personality Brian Smith, costume contests for babies, kids, adults and pets, crafts and activities sponsored by Arciuolo’s. There will also be 17 candy stops for trick-or-treaters at participating stores. The Gymnastics & Cheerleading Academy of Connecticut is also sponsoring a children’s hay maze on the Green.
“We’re so thrilled to see this event grow every year,” said DMBA president Tracy Bonowsconi. “We love being able to create memories for families in our charming New England town. And all of our participating businesses, vendors, and our sponsors, like Gymnastics & Cheerleading Academy, Milford Photo, and Arciuolo’s help make it happen.”
While participants are downtown, they’re encouraged to vote for their favorite painted window by snapping a photo and sharing it online with the hashtag #votehallowindow.
