Hamden Adult Education is offering a free program to provide local adult residents of Orange, Hamden, North Haven, Bethany and Woodbridge the opportunity to complete their high school education.
The program is offered through Hamden’s evening adult high school and is similar to regular secondary school, requiring class attendance and passing grades. It is uniquely adapted to recognize and give credit for adult experiences. Classes are small, allowing for differentiated instruction. Hamden Adult Education is also offering free programs to provide local adult residents of Orange, Hamden, North Haven, Bethany and Woodbridge to prepare for the GED exam, learn English and study to become an American citizen. Registration for these programs is Aug. 20 to 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. or 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Keefe Community Center, located at 11 Pine St. in Hamden.
