Indivisible Amity To Join “No Kings” Protests

Indivisible Amity, which counts members from Orange, Bethany and Woodbridge, will join peaceful protests in New Haven against the Trump administration on Saturday, June 14, according to a release.

The New Haven protest is part of the broader nationwide protests, dubbed “No Kings,” set for that day.  Nearly 2,000 locations around the country will host protests, including over 30 in Connecticut.

The local event is titled “New Haven: No Kings, No Billionaires, No Genocide!” and runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the New Haven Green. The demonstration is open to the public.

The protests fall on the same day as a military parade that President Donald Trump has pushed for to celebrate the 250th year since the US Army was founded. It is also Trump’s birthday.

Indivisible Amity is a progressive grassroots group.
