State Reps. Themis Klarides and Nicole Klarides-Ditria announced Jan. 20 that they will be hosting a joint reelection kickoff event on Thursday, Jan. 30 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Retro Grub and Pub in Derby.
“It has been an honor representing the residents of Woodbridge, Orange and Derby at the State Capitol,” said Klarides. “Since being reelected in 2018, I have been committed to making sure that the majority party in Hartford is being held accountable and that state government becomes more open and transparent. We need to continue to make sure that the one-party rule in Hartford is being checked and that the communities of Woodbridge, Orange, Derby, and their taxpayers are not being unfairly treated for the lack of fiscal discipline at the State Capitol.”
Klarides represents the 114th district, which includes all of Woodbridge and sections of Orange and Derby.
. In order for the lawmakers to qualify for the state’s Clean Elections Program, they must raise approximately $5,100 from at least 150 individuals living within their districts.
