The Milford Arts Council will host jazz vocalist, storyteller and songwriter Vanisha Gould for two concert performances on Saturday, Nov. 29 at the MAC, located at 40 Railroad Ave. South in Milford.
Originally from Simi Valley, California, and now based in New York City, Gould draws inspiration from legends like Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, and Joni Mitchell. Since moving to New York in 2015, she has become known for her sensual tone, emotional honesty and the way she transforms each performance into a deeply intimate experience.
The matinee performance begins at 3 p.m., with doors open at 2:30 p.m. The evening performance begins at 7:30 p.m., with doors open at 7 p.m. Advance purchase tickets are $40; tickets at the door are $45. Children under 17 are $5.
