The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce’s first Milford Regional Lobster Roll Festival brought thousands of area locals to Walnut Beach on Sept. 20.
The festival highlighted Milford’s claim as the birthplace in 1920 of the hot buttered lobster roll.
Participating restaurants, including Stonebridge, Moby Dick’s, Nautilus, and The Breakwall, made over 2,000 lobster rolls, which ran out before the day was through.
Live music filled the beach all day, with performances by The Rumrunners, Matt Kampe & The Hub, Dr. B & The Remedy and Mystic Bowie’s Talking Dreads.
The chamber is planning to host another lobster roll festival in 2026.
