The Milford Recreation Department is offering a week-long youth football camp this summer.
The objective of the Milford Recreation Football Camp will be to teach kids the fundamentals of football. It is a non-contact camp so kids will not be in helmets or pads. Skills taught during the camp will include throwing, catching, route running, ball security, blocking and tackling. The camp will include individualized instruction as well as team activities.
Camp Director Mike Farrell has coached football for 18 years and is currently an assistant coach for the Foran High School football team. Other local high school football coaches will assist.
The camp will take place at the Orange Avenue turf football fields during the week of July 24 to July 28 from Monday to Friday, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The fee is $160 for residents and $165 for non-residents.
