The Milford Health Department, in conjunction with the Milford Prevention Council, state Reps. Kathy Kennedy, Charles Ferraro, and Kim Rose and state Sen. James Maroney, will host a forum Tuesday, Nov. 19 on the dangers of youth vaping, its impact on our schools and community, and more.
In the last two months, over three dozen people have died and about 1,500 vape users have suffered lung injuries, including one death in Connecticut, attributed to vaping.
The event will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital at 300 Seaside Ave. in Milford.
Milford students who attend with a parent will receive two community service hours.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions. The event is free and open to the public. For questions or more information, call 800-842-1423 or 203-701-4524.
