Milford Waives Fees, Changes Access To Parsons

As the Milford continues its response to COVID-19, Mayor Ben Blake announced April 1 the following modifications to city operations, effective today and continuing through May 31:

  1. Parsons Government Center will be open to the public between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday by appointment only. Residents and visitors are strongly encouraged to conduct all city business via phone, fax, mail, email or online. The City Clerk, Tax Collector, and City Assessor each have drop boxes at the front entrance of Parsons for residents who need to drop off materials. To schedule an appointment with a city department, visit ci.milford.ct.us/departments or call 203-783-3200.
  2. All administrative fees in the Milford Assessor’s Office are waived. Contact the Assessor’s Office at 203-783-3215 or email Assessors@ci.milford.ct.us with all questions.
  3. Postage fees associated with mailing Milford resident beach stickers are waived. Milford resident beach stickers for 2020 may be requested online utilizing the Tax Collector website at ci.milford.ct.us/tax-collector. After logging onto the site, select the “Staff Contacts” option at bottom of the webpage, then go to the staff contact’s name. Finally, select the email option to upload the required registration and supporting documents. Alternatively, the required registration and supporting documents may be sent to the Tax Collector via fax at 203-783-3362 or mail at City of Milford Tax Collector, 70 W. River St., Milford, CT 06460. For questions, call 203-783-3217.
  4. Certain convenience fees (Visa debit card and electronic check only) connected to online payment of taxes are waived. Tax bills may be accessed and paid online at ci.milford.ct.us/tax-collector/pages/view-and-pay-tax-bills

“These actions are part of the city’s response to help limit the number of individuals conducting business in-person,” Blake said. “I appreciate the patience and understanding of residents and visitors as we adjust our day-to-day operations due to COVID-19. We all have a role to play in keeping our community safe. Stay healthy, Milford.”
