Congregation Or Shalom in Orange will hold Shavuot services from May 16 to May 18.
Shavuot, the “birthday” of the Torah, commemorates the night, 50 days after Passover, when the Ten Commandments were first revealed.
The synagogue will usher in the holiday on Sunday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. with a brief Shavuot service, followed by a traditional study session. There will be two Zoom services on Monday, May 17 at 9:30 a.m. and at 7:30 p.m. On Tuesday, May 18, the congregation will hold services over Zoom and in person starting at 9:30 a.m., with Yizkor at approximately 10:30 a.m.
