Orange Firefighters Extinguish House Fire

Orange firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in a house on Tuesday night at 516 New England Ln.

The Orange Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at just after 5:30 p.m. for a house filled with smoke. First-arriving firefighters began looking for the source of the smoke, suspecting a wood-burning stove, according to the department. They soon discovered the fire was in an attached garage. The fire was quickly extinguished. Firefighters used fans to remove the smoke from the home.

No injuries were reported at the fire. Members of the Orange Police Department, American Medical Response and the town fire marshal’s office also responded to the alarm. The cause is being investigated by the fire marshal’s office.
