Leadership and staff of Orange Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, the only skilled nursing facility in Orange, announced March 20 that the center has received a Five-Star, Much Above-Average rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
The star rating, which ranges from 1 to 5 stars, is based on criteria in four categories: health and fire safety inspection; quality measures; staffing; and registered nurse staffing. Every skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in the country receives a rating, which is public.
The Skilled Nursing Center, located at 225 Boston Post Rd. in Orange, provides short-term rehabilitation, inpatient pulmonary rehabilitation, and long-term care in a warm, welcoming environment. Highly-skilled staff, including physical, occupational, speech, recreational, and respiratory therapists, registered and licensed nurses, and certified nurses’ aides, are committed to exceptional care and service, helping short-term patients recover and return home after a hospitalization, and long-term residents enjoy a high quality of life.
Administrator Andree Acampora, who is the daughter of the center’s founder Beverly Acampora, said she was proud of her team and their accomplishments.
“After serving our community for over 70 years it is an honor to be recognized with this five-star rating,” she said. “It would not be possible without the daily hard work and dedication of our entire staff. Each day they strive to provide our clients with the best possible care. The result of their hard work has been helping hundreds of satisfied clients leave our facility after receiving excellent rehabilitative and ancillary services. Those clients return to their full and active lives. We love what we do, and it really shows.”
Orange Rehabilitation and Health Care is a 60-bed skilled nursing center that provides subacute rehabilitative and long-term care services. It has been family-owned and operated since its founding.
