NEWTON, MA (03/28/2016)– Sophia Figueroa, of Orange, CT, a Fashion Design major from the Class of 2019 at Lasell College, traveled to Atlanta, GA, for an alternative spring break trip. While there, students worked with several non-profits including Truly Living Well, Southwest Ecumenical Emergency Assistance Center, Piedmont Park, and Meals on Wheels.

Figueroa and other Lasell students assisted with the reparation of garden beds and re-planting, delivered groceries to families in need, unloaded food donations, delivered and prepared meals, and volunteered in Day Centers for the elderly.
