Voter turnout was meager May 22 but overwhelmingly in favor of adopting a budget that included a small tax increase proposed by the Town of Orange for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
Of 224 total votes cast, 191 were in favor of the budget and 33 were against it. Ten votes were cast by absentee ballot. Polls were open from noon to 8 p.m.
The approved budget of $72,157,952 raises the current mill rate of 32.38 to 32.59.
