They are all students at Race Brook School and celebrated the year with the entire pack at West River Hall in West Haven.
Orange First Selectman Jim Zeoli formally congratulated the new Boy Scouts during the banquet held at West River Hall, West Haven. He encouraged them to continue on with their scouting careers and community service.
Cub Master Rick Sweeney said, “We are proud of all the boys this year with their promotions, but we are especially proud of our Webelos because it is unusual to have so many reaching the Arrow of Light level in one pack at one time.”
Webelos are the oldest group of Cub Scouts before entering into the ranks of Boy Scouts. The Arrow of Light award is the highest honor they can achieve and is the only Cub Scout award allowed to be worn on the Boy Scout uniform.
The ceremony included a formal acceptance into Boy Scouts by Troop 925 leader John Wesolowski.
Thirty-two boys in total moved on to their next level of scouting at the dinner.
“We still have a few more group events before the school year ends including the Town of Orange Memorial Day Parade and the CT Yankee Council Famoree event weekend,” said incoming Cub Scout Master Mike Antalik.
The Pack invites any prospective new scout to come find them at the beginning or end of the parade route to learnt more about next year’s events. Families may also contact Race Brook School for additional contact information.
