Program Asks: When Should Religion And Politics Mix?

The Orange Clergy Association invites the public to hear the community’s religious leaders offer their thoughts on religion’s role in the public sphere.

The 2016 “Scholar in Residence” program to take place at the Orange Congregational Church, 205 Meeting House Lane on April 17. A reception will begin at 4 p.m.,with the program beginning at 4:30 p.m.

This year, our program will be a clergy forum on the topic: “Mixing Religion and Politics: When Should Religious Leaders Speak out about Political issues?”

The forum will offer thoughts on if religious organizations should be “seen but heard” and if there is a place for a religious voice in a presidential election.
