State Rep. Kim Rose (D-Milford) is organizing a clothing drive and fundraiser in support of a Milford family who lost most of their possessions in a July 17 house fire.
The fire consumed the Old Point Road family home. The children and parents were unharmed in the blaze which seems to have started in the laundry room.
“A devastating incident like this could happen to anyone in our community,” Rose said. “I am so grateful to live in the city of Milford where we can come together and help this family out after such a shocking loss of property. I hope we can make their recovery smoother.”
Her office can be reached at (800)842-8267.
All clothing items are needed. The family’s sizes are listed below. Items can be delivered to the Beth-El Center at 90 New Haven Ave. in Milford. Donations will be accepted from July 24 through Aug. 7.
