The Milford Historical Society will present a talk on the Connecticut Freedom Trail on Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. The talk takes place at Mary Taylor Methodist Church, located at 168-176 S. Broad St. in Milford.
Tammy Denease, Outreach Director for the Connecticut Freedom Trail, will discuss the Freedom Trail, which highlights the Black narratives and contributions in Connecticut’s history. The trail marks 170 sites across the state that commemorate African American history and the struggle for freedom and human dignity in Connecticut, including two sites in Milford.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
