It’s the time of year for Halloween celebrations and hearing things that go bump in the night. But don’t be scared! Those bumps, squeaks and shrieks may be the sounds of nocturnal animals living life after the sun goes down. The Connecticut Audubon Society’s Coastal Center at Milford Point hosts a fun family event Sunday Oct. 29, 1 to 2 p.m., with games and hands-on activities to demonstrate how nocturnal animals use their senses of smell and hearing to navigate through the dark. Create your own special creature of the night.
This program is appropriate for families with children age 5 and up. CAS Members: $5/person, family maximum $20; nonmembers: $7/person, family maximum $28. Pre-registration required. The Coastal Center is located at 1 Milford Point Road in Milford. Please call the Coastal Center at 203-878-7440, x502 to reserve your spot!
