Orange First Selectman James Zeoli, announced that he is endorsing fellow Republican Mike Southworth to be the next state senator for the 14th District.
“Mike Southworth will bring a truly independent voice to the state Senate in Hartford. Over the past two years, James Maroney has voted along party lines and ignored the voices of his constituents. As our voice in the state Senate, Mike will listen to experts, work across party lines, and fight for everyone in our district,” Zeoli said.
“I’m honored to accept the endorsement of Jim Zeoli who has been an incredible leader for the town of Orange” Southworth said in accepting the endorsement. “As first selectman, Jim has made Orange an affordable place to live, continued to support the great educational opportunities at Amity High School and helped create good paying jobs in town.”
