“Physicians dedicate themselves to improving the lives of others. They provide comfort and care to our hospice patients and deserve recognition,” said Bridget Perun, executive director of Compassus – Orange in a press release. “We are thankful for the crucial role they play in alleviating patient suffering and helping families cope with serious illness.”
Hospice health care providers have expertise in pain management and symptom control. Physicians are trained to help patients and families cope with the difficulties of hospice care, including medical treatment side effects and caregiver stress. Hospice doctors can also assist patients and loved ones with making difficult medical decisions.
Compassus – Orange is proud to take part in the national day of recognition and honor doctors for the specialized treatment they provide hospice patients.
