Using the same towel as you use on your body can spread bacteria which can lead to breakouts. Also, by using a clean towel daily this will prevent any dead skin you sloughed off the day before from getting on your newly cleansed face.
You can also take the drying process further and let your body air dry, giving your skin a few minutes to dry before applying serums or creams this way you won’t risk pulling or stretching your facial skin.
As the article points out, most people don’t change their towels frequently enough to be considered clean. Bacteria can get a foothold on the towel from residue left over from missed spots during cleaning.
