Orange resident Patricia Kraynak Rodrigues won $100,000 in the April 23 Powerball drawing, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corporation. She matched four of the numbers and the Powerball number, which won her $50,000. But she had also opted for the “Power Play,” which doubled the winnings. The ticket was purchased at the Orange Mart & Deli, located at 661 Orange Center Rd.
The odds of getting four numbers and the Powerball are one in 913,129. The odds of getting only the Powerball number, which is worth $4, are one in 38. The odds of winning the jackpot are one in 292,201,338.
