Milford will host an additional distribution of at-home COVID-19 tests on Jan. 6 at Silver Sands State Park after the state provided an additional allotment of kits to the city.
The city will distribute what it describes as an “extremely limited number” of test kits from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or until the supply is exhausted. Each household will receive one kit, which contains two tests.
The tests will be restricted to Milford residents who may be experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, had a recent exposure to an individual who has tested positive or who have or will be attending larger gatherings.
Individuals will need to bring proof of residency, such as an ID or Milford beach sticker. Distribution is on a first come, first served basis.
All vehicles must enter the park through Silver Sands Parkway.
The city already held a distribution event on Jan. 3. Milford Mayor Ben Blake’s office said it anticipates additional tests will continue to be allocated to the city, and that further announcements will be made as the tests are received.
