Milford Preservation Trust Screening Film About Revolutionary War

In honor of the 247th anniversary of the events at Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts, the Milford Preservation Trust will be showing the movie April Morning starring Tommy Lee Jones, Rip Torn, Robert Ulrich, Susan Blakely and Meredith Salenger at the Minuteman House at 139 North St. in Milford.

The battles at Lexington and Concord were the first military engagements in the Revolutionary War that eventually led to the founding of the United States.

The movie is based upon the novel by Howard Fast and involves two teenagers who fall in love as the first shots and deaths of the American Revolution take place. The film is suitable for young people who want to experience what the events of those days were like.

It will be shown on Tuesday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 23 at 1:30 p.m. Park in the rear. There is no charge, but donations are accepted to restore the house to its 1775 design.
