Toll Info Session Coming To Milford City Hall

By State Rep. Kim Rose

Tolls in Connecticut has been a topic of concern, and I wanted to bring information to you so that you understand what is being proposed.

There is no question that our infrastructure needs upgrades and improvements, and our Special Transportation Fund will be drained by 2022. As you have probably heard, the re-implementation of tolls across the state is one proposal on the table to solve that problem.

There has unfortunately been misinformation out there regarding what is coming before the legislature this session. This year we are only considering a proposal that would allow the DOT to do an in-depth analysis and study of things such as what tolls could look like, how much it will cost per mile, and the number and locations of toll gantries.

Please join my colleagues and me this Saturday morning at Milford City Hall to learn the most recent information on the toll study proposal that will be considered this year.

Please feel free to contact me at the Capitol at 1-800-842-8267, my cell phone at 203-701-6098, or by email at Kim.Rose@cga.ct.gov.
