Orange native Alec Sachs earned a bronze medal representing Team Connecticut in July during the 2018 USA Special Olympics in Seattle. Sachs was one of four swimmers from Connecticut. He came in fourth in the 100-meter backstroke and received a bronze medal for his 100-meter freestyle swim. Sachs grew up in Orange, where his parents still live. Contributed photo.
