FOML Selected For Stop & Shop Community Bag Program

The Friends of the Milford Library has been selected as a beneficiary of the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program for the month of March.

The Stop & Shop Community Bag Program, which launched in May 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

FOML was selected as the March beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Stop & Shop located at 855 Bridgeport Ave. in Milford. FOML will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable community bag is purchased at this location during March, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the giving tag attached to the bag.

“We are excited about being chosen for the Community Bag Program,” said Pam Pilla, president of FOML. “These donations will support quality programs offered by the library and funded by the Friends of the Milford Library.”

FOML is a nonprofit, volunteer organization, and all its proceeds are used to fund library children and adult programs, museum passes and expenses not covered by the Milford city budget.
