Kennedy Celebrates Fire Service Day At State Capitol

In celebration of Fire Service Day at the State Capitol, state Rep. Kathy Kennedy, who represents parts of Milford and Orange, met with area firefighters May 29 and discussed pending state legislation important to their profession as firefighters.

“I would like to send a huge thank you to all firefighters and emergency response personnel in Connecticut who play such a critical role in keeping our community safe,” Kennedy said.

Kennedy was the first civilian female fire marshal in Connecticut, earning her certification in 1998.
