Milford Audubon To Hold Bazaar “For the Birds”

Begin your holiday shopping early at the Connecticut Audubon Society in Milford when it hosts its “For the Birds” bazaar on Sunday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Coastal Center, located at 1 Milford Point Rd.

Purchases will support local businesses and the center’s environmental education and conservation programs.

Participating vendors will include: Milford Photo, selling cameras, lenses and offering onsite photo lessons during the event on the center’s grounds; the Fat Robin Wild Bird and Nature Shop, with bird-themed gifts and birder supplies; Wilder Earth Studio, with art prints and mindfulness cards; and Milford Body Therapy, with gift certificates for massage therapy and body care. Meet local author and photographer Tammy DiCenso and see her photographs and nature-inspired children’s books.

Other items for sale at the bazaar will include pottery, textiles, yarns and other creations by Ashley Ann’s Hands; watercolors from Bivenne’s Brushstrokes; and Henna Designs by Morgan, plus nature-inspired ceramics and ornaments. While enjoying coffee and hot cider, stop by the used book table that will have many bird and nature selections. There will also be hand-made decorative osprey platforms for sale.

During the bazaar, children are invited to visit up-close with some of the center’s live reptiles and to stop by the tide pool demonstration tank where they can learn about salt water wildlife in Long Island Sound. The center’s gift shop will also be open.
