Milford residents Michael and Julia Siegman celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary alone together on Thanksgiving out of concerns surrounding COVID-19.
Michael’s mother, Helen, was orphaned during the influenza pandemic of 1918-1919.
“We will miss celebrating this occasion with our friends and family,” the couple said. “But Thanksgiving day makes us reflect on all we have to be thankful for: good health, wonderful family (three sons, daughter-in-law, four grand adults and significant others) and friends around the world. Plus we are still able to ski and sail together.”
