In recognition of National Public Works Week from May 21 to May 25, the Milford Public Works Department will be participating in a food drive to benefit the Milford Food Bank. A Public Works truck will be at the Silver Sands Stop & Shop at 855 Bridgeport Ave. in Milford on Wednesday, May 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. collecting donations.
Donations may also be dropped off at the following Milford locations during the week: Public Works Office, 83 Ford St.; Milford Animal Control, 664 East Broadway; Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1255 Oronoque Rd.; Transfer Station, 755 Oronoque Rd.; Engineering Department, 70 West River St. (Parson’s Government Complex).
