Milford Suspends Building Access, Meetings

All city buildings in Milford all City are closed to the public starting today, with the exception of the Milford Police Department, the Milford Fire Department, the Milford Health Department, Human Services, the Public Works Department and Parsons Government Center.

All City Departments will be operational; however buildings will have limited public access by appointment only. Access to Parsons will be restricted to two access points – the main entrance and the handicapped accessible entrance. Once inside Parsons, visitors must check in at the main desk to confirm their previously scheduled appointment before proceeding to conduct business

Residents and visitors are encouraged to carry out their business via telephone, e-mail, fax or mail in order to limit the number of people inside city buildings.

The Transfer Station will remain open during regular business hours, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

All non-essential city meetings have been canceled. All other regularly-scheduled meetings will take place in the chambers of City Hall and will stream “live” on the Milford Government Access channel 79 and online at youtube.com/channel/UCF3oquO8GVVwoJWPBKVjhrg. Public comments may be submitted ahead of time via e-mail or mail and will be accepted into the record during the respective meetings.

City playgrounds will be closed in order to prevent close-space interaction amongst users.

For more information on individual operations for each city department, call or email the contact information listed at ci.milford.ct.us/departments.
