Big Brother (adult mentor) Alex Beck, right, was a special guest at the recent Big Brothers Big Sisters Expanding Potential Gala, held at The Society Room of Hartford. He attended the event with his Little Brother, mentee, in the organization’s program, Mekhi (middle). Beck lives in Orange and is an assistant state’s attorney for the Milford-Ansonia Judicial District. Alex has been a board member at Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2017. He’s been a Big Brother with the youth mentoring organization for nine years. Alex’s Little Brother, 17-year-old Mekhi, lives in New Haven. He’s a senior at Eli Whitney Technical High School and will be honored in May by Big Brothers Big Sisters as its 2023 Youth of the Year.
