The Goddard School of Orange in June awarded its Bob Marchetti and Gerard Kick Memorial Scholarship of $5,000 to Jett Ramos, an Amity High School graduate, and a former Goddard student. Ramos stood out for his academic achievement, commitment to service and unique perspective on how early childhood education shaped his path and values. He reflected in his application on lessons from his time at Goddard-like patience, kindness and perseverance-that continue to guide him today. Ramos is a competitive gymnast and volunteer at the Autism Health and Fitness Center in Orange. In the fall, he will be attending the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with hopes of being a chemist. The scholarship honors Bob Marchetti, the original owner of The Goddard School of Orange and father of co-owner Kim Kick, as well as Gerard Kick, father of co-owner Chris Kick.
