U.S. Senator Christopher Murphy, State Senator Gayle Slossberg, and State Representatives Theresa Conroy, Kim Rose, and Pam Staneski toured Platt Technical High School’s Manufacturing Technology Department on March 24.

They spoke with Principal Scott Zito, students and teachers about the program’s success in preparing Connecticut students to meet the demands of Connecticut’s 21st Century advanced manufacturing industry.

Presidents Dave Cremin of Straton Industries and Tom Auray of Bridgeport Fittings – two of many local manufacturing companies who actively hire graduates of Platt’s Manufacturing Technology Program – also were present.
