ORANGE, Conn. (Sept. 12, 2016) – Through the Energize Connecticut initiative, United Illuminating (UI), a subsidiary of AVANGRID, Inc. has partnered with The Home Depot to provide insulation specials and rebates through Oct. 31, 2016.

Any UI customer who registers for a Home Energy SolutionsSM home energy assessment during one of the promotional events being held at various Home Depot locations may receive up to 50 percent off of qualifying insulation installations. Additionally, a $124 insulation coupon will be available for customers who sign up for the assessment during this time period and complete the insulation installation.
“To determine whether you should add insulation, residents first need to find out how much insulation they already have in their home and where it is located,” said Elizabeth Murphy, senior program manager, United Illuminating. “A home energy assessment is important to help identify the type of insulation you have in your home and which areas are in need of air sealing.”
A Home Energy Solutions assessment is a “physical checkup” of your home that provides approximately $1,000 in services, and residents who participate in the program save on average $200 on their annual energy bills. Adding insulation is a simple, yet effective way to reduce your energy bills while making your home more comfortable.
“These community events are an educational and informative opportunity for any UI customer to learn about the importance of having a home energy assessment and the variety of ways they can reduce their energy bills,” said Murphy. “Taking the next step to increase insulation will further assist residents along the path toward making their homes more comfortable.”
This insulation offer is available to UI customers who receive a Home Energy Solutions assessment and are qualified by an authorized Home Energy Solutions technician for an insulation rebate. Eligible customers must sign up for a Home Energy Solutions assessment by Oct. 31 and install insulation by Dec. 31, 2016. Those interested can learn more, and register, during the following events.
