Woodbridge is inviting residents and visitors to “make a day of it in Woodbridge” on Saturday, Sept. 26, with morning and afternoon activities at the Town Center featuring the 44th Annual Woodbridge 5K Road Race and Children’s Fun Run, followed by the 6th Annual Woodbridge Like Me Day.
The day begins at 9 a.m. with the Children’s Fun Run at the Fitzgerald Tract. Registration is $20 and is available through the Woodbridge Recreation Department’s online registration system.
At 10:30 a.m., runners will take off for the 44th Annual Woodbridge 5K Road Race at the Woodbridge Town Center. Registration is $30 through Sept. 12 and $40 on race day. A portion of the race proceeds will benefit the Woodbridge Resident Assistance Fund.
As the race gets underway, the Town Center Green will come alive for the 6th Annual Woodbridge Like Me Day, held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The free annual event celebrates the people and cultures that make up the Woodbridge community through live cultural performances, music, local organizations, food trucks and activities, including the Woodbridge Runway Show.
In the event of inclement weather, Woodbridge Like Me Day will be held at Amity Regional High School at 25 Newton Rd.
