Orange Bicentennial Committee Unveils Logo

Orange’s bicentennial logo has been unveiled by the town’s Bicentennial Committee.

The Orange Bicentennial Committee revealed its official bicentennial logo Tuesday in a press release.

Former town clerk Pat O’Sullivan, who chairs the committee, contacted local resident Michael Ulrich, who proposed a logo to Commemorative Items chair Mitch Goldblatt. After soliciting input from committee members, the logo was modified by Ulrich, and the final design was approved last week.

Goldblatt said that the logo will be used in printed matter for the bicentennial and will appear on several souvenir items throughout the “Summer of Celebration,” as the anniversary events are being called. The committee will be offering items for sale using the logo, as will other local civic groups such as the Orange Chamber of Commerce, Orange Community Women and the Orange Lions Club.

“There will be plenty of opportunities for residents to purchase items that will help everyone get into the spirit of this very special year in our town’s history,” Goldblatt said.

The Commemorative Items Committee will be looking for volunteers to assist in selling items at town events throughout the year. Anyone who would be willing to help should contact Mitch Goldblatt at mitchellrgoldblatt@gmail.com or Ginny Proestakes at vproestakes@sbcglobal.net.
