In honor of National Library Card Sign-Up Month in September, the Woodbridge Town Library is running a special promotion: any Woodbridge resident who gets a new card or updates an expired card during the month will be entered into a prize drawing for one of four $25 gift cards to local businesses.
The gift cards are for Katz’s Deli, Micro Creamery, Brookside Farm Market and Blue Check Deli.
In addition to the library’s collections of books, graphic novels, magazines, CDs, DVDs and Blu-Rays for adults, teens and children, Woodbridge Town Library cards offer access to several other services.
Cardholders get discounted or free admission to a selection of museums and other cultural institutions. Many passes can be reserved online and sent to your email address with no need to stop by the library.
The library offers thousands of digital materials like ebooks, audiobooks, movies and magazines through Libby, Hoopla, the Palace Project and Kanopy. The library also provides free access to the New York Times online.
The Library of Things is a collection of nontraditional materials such as a metal detector, telescope or sewing machine that you can borrow with your library card. The full list of items is on the library’s website.
You can also request a personalized book bundle in person or using the form on the website, and the library will select up to 10 books tailored to your taste.
Even without a card, you can still enjoy free events, access to meeting/study rooms, notary services, a seed exchange and more.
